The Gray Blanket of Winter Hath Descended

Fri Nov 6, 2009, 12:20 AM
Well, those summer art fairs are long gone, and they were a lot of fun. Right now, things are pretty low-key. I'm just working on new prints, so keep your eyes peeled for some sweet new images.

Until next time...

Summer Fun

Mon Jul 27, 2009, 12:06 PM
Short pimping session:

I've got a pair of art festivals that I'll be a part of in the next couple of months, so if you're in the Northwest and need something to do on a weekend, here's a couple of options:

Aug. 15-16 - Silverton Fine Arts Festival, Silverton, OR (near Salem) [link]
Sept. 12-13 - West Linn Arts Festival, West Linn, OR (near Portland) [link]

And as usual, you can keep up on what I'm doing at my blog, Ink is My Perfume [link]

Thanks,

-clay

Ink Is My Perfume

I've got a blog going these days called "Ink Is My Perfume." Most of it is about my printmaking work (and there'll be my comics stuff too, when I finally do some more of it), so check it out if you get the chance!

ECCC

Mon Apr 6, 2009, 6:33 PM
Oh well. No love again for 2k pageviews. Sigh...

I headed up to Seattle for the Emerald City Comic Con this weekend, and it was fun. It's grown almost unbelievably over the years, and this year's was the biggest yet. The artist alley was enormous, and it was nice to catch up with some of my friends there. Maybe next year I'll plan ahead better and actually get a table!

The event was so big, and there were so many people that I had a hard time doing any shopping. I've never much enjoyed huge crowds (one of the reasons that I don't attend San Diego anymore), and I kind of got mentally beaten down by this one over the course of a couple of hours. I ended up picking up books from a couple of artists that I like, but that was it. My feet are still sore from walking around the show! I've got to say though, if you have the chance, you should check out ECCC. It's turning into a major event, and it's easily the best show the Northwest has going on.

I've spent the last couple of days trying to plow through what I picked up at the show, and I'm nearly done. Guess I need to set aside some more dough for the upcoming Stumptown Comics Fest!

Almost 2k pageviews

Tue Mar 24, 2009, 9:56 AM
Even though it's taken 3 years, and even though nobody ever writes in when I try to give away free art for pageview milestones, I want to celebrate the nearing 2,000 pageviews by giving someone one of my prints. So, if you're the lucky 2,000th visitor to my page here, let me know, and I'll send out a print of "Crossover."
